PURPOSE OF THE UNIT STANDARD 
This Unit Standard is intended for people who are involved in, or contemplating involvement in, the framing and/ or scrutiny of export Customs entries and other associated documentation.

Individuals who are credited with this Unit Standard will be able to demonstrate the ability to accurately complete and submit a set of Export Documents necessary for the accomplishment of surface exports

UNIT STANDARD ACCREDITATION AND MODERATION OPTIONS 
1. Anyone assessing a learner against this unit standard must be registered as an assessor with the relevant ETQA.

! Collect, organise and analyse information received to arrive at rational decisions with regard to framing and submission of Export Documents and wharfage clearances in order to enhance the professionalism of service to customers.

1. Prepare and check surface export Bills of Entry (including Vouchers of Correction) and wharfage clearances and associated documentation to used in documenting export goods, in the Forwarding and Clearing, carrier, banking, insurance industries, and Customs
! to a nil rejection standard
! prepared within industry acceptable timeframes.
! by applying the appropriate principles, processes and procedures used in documenting export goods to meet the requirements of the port regulations, Forwarding and Clearing, carrier, banking and insurance industries and Customs.
2. Complete the required surface export documentation accurately, and within industry time parameters, manually and on the computer.
