PURPOSE OF THE UNIT STANDARD 
The person credited with this unit standard is able to identify and select the correct tools and components to construct an exhibition stand. They are also able to construct the stand according to health and safety standards and ensure the quality of the work done meets the requirements of the exhibitor and is done within an agreed time frame

The qualifying learner is capable of:
  • Identifying and selecting commonly used tools and equipment
  • Checking that all components are available on site
  • Describing various components and assembly techniques
  • Constructing, assembling and dismantling the exhibition stand according to instructions and specified time frames
  • Checking quality and finishing's according to correct standards
  • Applying housekeeping principles

    It is assumed that learners accessing this unit standard will have demonstrated competence in Computer Literacy, Mathematical Literacy, Communication at NQF level 3 or equivalent.
