PURPOSE OF THE UNIT STANDARD 
A person credited with this unit standard is able to:
  • Design a quality assurance system,
  • Implement a quality assurance system,
  • Identify and implement improvements to the quality assurance system,
  • Conduct quality audits and inspections.

    This unit standard is intended for a person in the manufacturing environment who needs to manage, control and improve quality assurance systems within the manufacturing environment where sensitive consumer products are manufactured and ensuring that world class quality product are sold to the retail market.

    The skills, knowledge and understanding demonstrated within this unit standard are essential for social and economic transformation and upliftment for any individual.
