PURPOSE OF THE UNIT STANDARD 
The person credited with this unit standard is able to monitor stock holding levels and replenish stock items when required. Learners are able to ensure sufficient stock holding of hired out stock items at all times.

The qualifying learner is capable of:
  • Evaluating stock for hire levels according to organisational requirements
  • Monitoring the use of the hire fleet
  • Receiving and checking stock and goods deliveries
  • Distributing stock for hire orders 

  • LEARNING ASSUMED TO BE IN PLACE AND RECOGNITION OF PRIOR LEARNING 
    Learners accessing this unit standard will have demonstrated competence in numeracy and literacy at NQF Level 4 or equivalent. 

    UNIT STANDARD RANGE 
    Stock for hire items will include but are not limited to: tools, equipment, parts, accessories, grease, buttons, zips, nails, boxes, cases, sleeves, protective equipment.
