Persons credited with this unit standard will be able to demonstrate knowledge and skill to operate mechanical brake and jacking systems according to accepted practices in the following outcomes: prepare mechanical brake and jacking system for service, startup and monitor startup conditions; shutdown and isolate mechanical brake and jacking system; service mechanical brake and jacking system and maintain regulatory requirements; monitor mechanical brake and jacking system and stabilise transient conditions; control raw material requirements to support continuous production.
