PURPOSE OF THE UNIT STANDARD 
The skills, values and knowledge reflected in this unit standard are required by people in the field of autotronics.
The learning outcomes of this unit standard also contribute to the exit level outcomes required for the autotronics NQF2 level qualification.
Qualifying learners are able to select and use automobile lifting equipment.

    Discuss the basic operation of automobile lifting equipment. 
    OUTCOME RANGE 
    Lifting equipment includes vehicle hoists (two post or four post), jacks (floor and hand) and related safety stands and creepers.
