PURPOSE OF THE UNIT STANDARD 
This unit standard is intended for persons working in a supervisory capacity within the tables area. The individual should develop skills in ensuring that the tables area runs smoothly and efficiently. They will supervise staff and perform relevant administrative duties, ensuring compliance at all times. The sub-field should develop a standard approach to dealing with supervision of table games.

On achievement of this unit standard the learner will understand and be able to:
  • Demonstrate an understanding of internal and external legislation impacting on dealing supervision.
  • Perform administrative duties pertaining to individual tables.
  • Demonstrate table awareness.
  • Deal effectively with subordinates.
  • Deal effectively with senior staff.

    On completion of this unit standard the learner should be ready to develop learning in further, more complex processes related to supervising game tables.
