PURPOSE OF THE UNIT STANDARD 
The person credited with this Unit Standard will be able to identify the specific areas which need to be considered when implementing a comprehensive supply chain strategy within an organisation and to carry out a supply chain strategy implementation process for world competitiveness. They will also be able to design and implement a business strategy for the purpose of creating and delivering value for customers by integrating the functions which make up the organisations supply chain.
