PURPOSE OF THE UNIT STANDARD 
This unit standard is for extension personnel in the development field to apply the principles of extension management.

This unit standard will contribute to the qualitative development of learners by providing skills and knowledge of communication, project management and general extension management principles. 

LEARNING ASSUMED TO BE IN PLACE AND RECOGNITION OF PRIOR LEARNING 
Learners accessing this unit standard will have demonstrated competence in communicating verbally and in writing at Level 4 on the NQF or equivalent.

Learners should display the following knowledge, skills attitude and/or equivalent:
