An individual who has achieved this unit standard is capable of displaying pharmaceutical products in compliance with legal and ethical requirements. Specifically individuals will be able to identify the requirements of the display in line with customer needs; assemble the display according to organisational policies; price the merchandise and maintain the displays.

    Legal requirements and ethical codes relating to advertising are explained in terms of their influence on the pharmaceutical industry.

    Products that will be displayed are identified in line with seasonal demands, promotions and slow moving products.

    The purpose, audience and theme for the display are described.

    Additional constraints or factors that may impact on the creation of the display are considered.

    ASSESSMENT CRITERIA
     

    ASSESSMENT CRITERION 1 
    Resources required to create the display according to the relevant plan are obtained using the correct organisational procedures.

    Merchandise is displayed to create the desired effect.

    Displaying includes designing displays, building displays, cross merchandising, accessorising, colour blocking, sizing, and themes.
     

    ASSESSMENT CRITERION 3 
    Fixtures, props and promotional signage appropriate to the visual display are used in terms of the stock characteristics, organisational, safety and legal requirements. 

    ASSESSMENT CRITERION 4 
    The price of the product is visually displayed according to organisational policies and legal requirements. 

    ASSESSMENT CRITERION 5 
    The importance of appropriate price label (ticketing) size and placement is explained in terms of client service and improving sales.

    ASSESSMENT CRITERION 1 
    The display is replenished in accordance with stock availability for customers. 
    ASSESSMENT CRITERION RANGE 
    Maintenance includes the rotation of stock, the removal of sold out items from the listed products offered and the changing of display layout.
     

    ASSESSMENT CRITERION 2 
    Displays are designed to meet the housekeeping standards of the organisation. 

    ASSESSMENT CRITERION 3 
    Signage and ticketing is current with respect to price and theme in accordance with organisational procedure. 

    ASSESSMENT CRITERION 4 
    Displays are dismantled within the specified period of display.
