    Learning / Curriculum
Training provision may include small and large groups. It may also include on-the-job training as well as off-the-job training.
  • Learning should include observing other trainers conducting different training sessions (small group, large group)
  • The learner should familiarise him/ her self with the training material so that the content can be delivered in an interesting and logical way.
  • Potential exercise: Learner could practice training through role-plays until the learner feels comfortable in the delivery of the training material.
  • Potential project: Learner could be given the responsibility of training colleagues or running an induction programme for staff members who are new to the industry. The learner would be responsible for training specific skills and knowledge over a specified period of time.
The effectiveness of the training can be evaluated through assessment. The learner must be able to use the selected media effectively and provide constructive support and feedback to learners in the training session and in the workplace. Learner must self evaluate the training programme and get feedback from the participants.

    Performance systems
  • Ongoing measurement of the learner`s ability to meet this standard is recommended.
  • A new employee should be able to achieve this unit within 4 months of being trained.
